Join me in my efforts to support PuppyUp Foundation in memory of Herm Wilcox

My name is William Phillips and I am going to be walking with my dog, Virgil, at the Puppyup event. My grandfather, Herm Wilcox, fought a long battle against a rare form of leukemia. He passed away January 29th of this year. My Grandfather, Herm Wilcox, grew up in Wellsville, New York. He had four brothers, and three sisters. He graduated from Cortland with is bachelors of science degree. He later received his masters degree at SUNY New Paltz. He taught at Saugerties High School for thirty-five years, teaching 7th grade life science. He strived to be the best teacher he could be and tried to make science fun for his students. He had three kids Deirdre, Bruce, and William. His first wife Mary was diagnosed with breast cancer . He took care of her and was her bedside nurse. Mary passed away. He later met his second wife Sharon, my grandmother and gained two step children, Robert and Jennifer. He retired from teaching and pursued a career in his second love, building and remodeling, until he was stricken with a rare form of leukemia. His second wife Sharon did the same thing for Herm for a year and a half that he previously did for his first wife. Sharon devoted all of her time to doing everything possible to take care of her husband. God gave him what he deserved a saint to take care of him the way he took care of his first wife Mary. The cancer eventually took over his body, which took his life this year. He was a role model to many people, especially myself.
Please help me raise money in his name to help fight cancer.
Thank you for supporting PuppyUp Foundation. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
